About The Main
We love Montreal. We live Montreal.
Welcome to The Main.
Inspired to tell the unique, artful, authentic, and profound stories behind creators and businesses, curators and tastemakers, histories and guides, we are a community of like-minded locals who want to get the most out of their city and their lives by exploring it through one central cultural hub.
We’re your neighbourhood dépanneur and your main street. Originally founded in 2012, The Main is your go-to source for slow pleasures, fast attractions, news that matters, and everything in between—a one-stop shop created by and for a hybrid breed of creative storytellers connecting both on and offline.
Named after Montreal’s central Saint-Laurent Boulevard, a thoroughfare of the world where languages, cultures, and identities meet, we’re here for community, curiosity, culture, and conversations.
Why? For the love of the city.
