A Mr. Puffs location in Montreal was fined $3,500 for food safety violations this year

Mr. Puffs, a Quebec-based dessert chain, was fined nearly $1.7 million for operating unlicensed stores across the province. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food of Quebec (MAPAQ) conducted an investigation revealing that 38 stores did not comply with the necessary permits from November 2020 to March 2022. Mr. Puffs acknowledged the oversight and is committed to acquiring the proper licenses. The company stresses that product quality and customer safety were never compromised during this period.
