A Contemporary Homage to Cree Artisanship in Old Montreal

A new cultural gathering space called Wachiya has opened in Old Montreal, celebrating Cree craftsmanship and tradition. Created by Indigenous owners, the venue serves as an exhibition space and boutique, showcasing art, crafts, and apparel from Cree and other Indigenous artists. The aim is to honor Indigenous cultures while providing a platform for artisans to present their work.
