Quebec says it won’t limit health care in English, open to ‘clarifying’ directive: letter

Quebec health care officials are open to clarifying a directive letter that was criticized for restricting the use of English in some cases. The letter was sent to hospital CEOs and stated that French must be the primary language of communication in health care. The Minister of Health stated that the intention is not to limit access to health care services for English-speaking Quebecers.
