St. Lawrence Seaway workers strike over wages, halt flow of goods on major trade artery

Workers at the St. Lawrence Seaway in Canada went on strike demanding better wages and benefits, causing disruptions in shipping traffic. The strike is led by the union Unifor, which represents around 140 workers. Negotiations between the union and the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation have not yet led to an agreement, leading to uncertainty in the shipping industry.
