For over 40 years, Au Pays des Géants has been the creative force behind Quebec’s most spectacular parades and public celebrations. The Saint-Calixte-based workshop specializes in crafting towering puppets, elaborate floats, and theatrical set pieces that turn streets into immersive dreamscapes. If you’ve ever seen a 12-foot-tall figure looming over the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, a rainbow-draped Pride float, or a towering Christmas character rolling through town, chances are it came from their workshop.
Founded by theatre artist Guy Pelletier and designer Denise Campeau, the company transformed from street performances to a full-fledged float fabrication and puppet-making powerhouse. Now helmed by their daughters, Paméla and Léa Campeau Pelletier, Au Pays des Géants is a family-run operation where sculptors, carpenters, and costume designers bring massive, moving art to life. With projects for everything from Irish revelry to winter wonderlands, their work proves that spectacle isn’t just about scale—it’s about imagination.
