Housed in the former Gousto Bistro and run by the same tight-knit crew, Sugo brings a quietly confident energy to Vieux-Longueuil. With just 35 seats and a room that balances olive-green elegance with understated warmth, it’s the kind of spot that makes hospitality look easy. Chef Christophe Audet, sous-chef Simon-Pierre Gauthier, and Anna-Julia Pinto run a menu that doesn’t scream for attention but earns it dish by dish: crisp cacio e pepe arancini, rigatoni carbonara done right, and a standout striploin with citrus and borlotti beans.
Everything’s made in-house, including the pasta, and the drinks list follows suit—Italian wines by private import, cocktails that riff on the classics with purpose (Grappa Old Fashioned, Tomatini, etc.). No gimmicks, no overreach. Just a smart, warm restaurant doing things the right way.
