An hour from Montréal, Bromont’s Parc des Sommets is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, boasting 140 kilometres of multi-use trails that traverse forests rich in biodiversity. Whether hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing, there’s a trail for every skill level.
For an intermediate challenge, the 6-kilometre ascent of Mont Bernard is a standout. The 2-hour trek takes you along the Coureur des bois (M50) trail, leading to rest areas with panoramic views of surrounding peaks. Adventurous hikers can extend the journey to Mont Horizon via the La Divine trail for even more breathtaking vistas.
In the fall, Bromont transforms into a tapestry of fiery foliage best admired from the mountaintop, on a mountain bike, or during a gondola ride at the ski station. Just don’t forget your crampons for the steeper trails, and ensure you’ve secured the required trail access pass before setting off.
