Music Venue

Anchored in the cultural fabric of Lavaltrie, the Café culturel de la Chasse-galerie is a performance venue through and through. From its humble beginnings in a restored 19th-century stable to its rebirth after a devastating 2019 fire, it now operates out of the Église Saint-Antoine and the newly opened Garage à Simon, an intimate venue honouring co-founder Simon Roy.

Hosting over 150 shows annually, the venue showcases an eclectic mix of music, theatre, and comedy while championing emerging talent alongside seasoned performers. Its cooperative model ensures local involvement, with members shaping the direction of its events and initiatives.

Recognized for its eco-conscious practices and commitment to accessibility, the Chasse-galerie embodies cultural innovation. Whether attending a riverside concert or an intimate indoor performance, visitors experience a space where the arts thrive against all odds.
