The Plains of Abraham, part of Quebec City’s Battlefields Park, seamlessly blends history and nature, offering year-round activities in an iconic urban setting. This historic site has been a meeting place for centuries, evolving from precolonial significance to a pivotal battleground in the 18th century, and finally into a public space established in 1908.

Famous for the 1759 Battle of the Plains of Abraham, the site played a critical role in the struggle between French and British empires. Today, visitors can explore the park’s layered history through exhibitions and interpretive trails while enjoying seasonal activities like skating, cross-country skiing, and illuminated gardens.
